Garmin HRV trend analysis

Garmin's HRV Status tells you "balanced" or "unbalanced". Your export can tell you the slope, your personal band, and whether your training distribution is earning the recovery you're asking of it.

Get your export (3 minutes)

  1. In Garmin Connect (web): Activities → All Activities → Export CSV — this is your Activities.csv.
  2. For sleep/HRV: export from the sleep report, or request the full account data export from account settings.
  3. Drop whichever files you have into the readout — it works with activities alone, sleep alone, or both together.

FAQ

Which Garmin files does the readout accept?

Activities.csv (the activity-history export) and a sleep CSV. FIT files and the full JSON archive aren't parsed in the browser readout yet — the CSV routes cover the metrics that matter for trend analysis.

My activities only have average HR — are zones still analysed?

Yes, by assigning each session to a zone band from its average heart rate against your max. It's an approximation, it's deterministic, and every figure derived from it is flagged as estimated in the report — no silent precision.

Is this medical advice?

No. Reports are an educational analysis of your own device data. Nothing here diagnoses or excludes any condition.
